Monday
Board the vessel at O2 arena at 10:00 and meet your friendly crew who will show you around and give a briefing of the week and a safety talk. You will then disembark and have a slow cruise down to the Thames Barrier with tea/coffee and snacks. Then up to Greenwich Pier where you can wander around Royal Town, up to the Observatory and Naval Collages and see the Meridian Line where East meets West. Back onboard for about 17:00 to relax and put your feet up then sail down to the O2 where you can venture round the newly refurbished arena; catch a concert, or have a nice meal in one of the many fine restaurants. When your ready rejoin the vessel where we will go up to St Katherine's Pier, passing the dominating site of Canary Wharf light up in the Sky Line and tie up for the night under one of the most famous bridges in the world: Tower Bridge, where you can relax with a glass of wine on the back deck and take in the impressive views or get showered and relax in bed ready for tomorrow's activities.
Tuesday
Wake up and get ready for breakfast of your choice (pre-arranged the day before) on the back deck for about 10:00 and have a brief talk about the day's events. Once ready disembark and start your journey with a tour around Tower Bridge where you can see the workings, machinery, history and maybe even see the bridge open for 1 of the many original Thames sailing barges. Then over to one of Britain's most famously visited attractions: the Tower of London, where you will be taken back in time with a tour by the Queen's Beefeaters. Once ready you can rejoin the vessel for a relaxing drink, put your feet up, then get ready for the evening's meal in the Medieval restaurant across the road for an eat-and-drink as much as you can buffet whilst watching a sword fighting display and other re-enactments of the time. If you still have the energy and your dancing shoes on you can stay for the disco, or venture back to the vessel to take in the day's events on the back deck before getting ready for bed.
Wednesday
Wake up at St Katherine's Pier and up for breakfast at about 9:00. Once ready we will have a slow cruise up to Bankside Pier - passing HMS Belfast, Tower of London, Monument to the Fire of London, under London Bridge and on to the pier just above Frances Drakes famous ship: the Golden Hind. Once along side you will disembark and walk up to William Shakespeare's Globe Theater for a guided tour and a glance at some of his famous works such as Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer's Night Dream. Then next door to the Tate Modern Art Gallery displaying some of the weird and wonderful modern pieces of art. When ready rejoin the vessel for lunch and a cruise up to the London Eye; passing the wibbly wobbly bridge (Blade of Light), St Paul's Cathedral and Cleopatra's Needle. Then along side Waterloo Pier where you will jump straight on the London Eye to take in the breath taking sites of London and as far as Wembley Stadium and Windsor Castle. Once off you can rejoin the vessel for the rest of the cruise up to Kew; passing the House of Parliament and the famous Battersea Power Station and along side Kew Pier for the night. You can then walk up to a restaurant for our evening's meal then back onboard to relax with a drink.
Thursday
Wake up at Kew Pier and up for breakfast at 9:00. Once ready you'll disembark and make the 5 minute walk to the Royal Botanic Kew Gardens. Inside you'll find over 300 acres of exotic plants, trees and lakes. As 2009 celebrates the 250th birthday of the gardens there is a whole variety of events and activities to take part in including the new Xstrata treetop walk way where you can walk 18 meters up in the tree canopy. Once ready you can rejoin the vessel for a slow cruise up to Hampton Court passing the un-spoilt natural river banks of Isleworth where you will start to see a change from the industrial Thames to the more quieter up reaches of the river with a whole variety of wildlife; including herons and swans. On your journey passing Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington Lock (where you'll be raised from one height on the river to another), Kingston and finally up to Hampton Court Palace to tie up for the night. Once there you can stretch your legs for a bit then return and get ready for dinner at one of the local restaurants in the area and back before 23:00 to either relax or get ready for bed.
Friday
Wake up at Hampton Court landing stage and have breakfast for about 9:00. Once ready disembark and walk straight up to the gates of Hampton Court where you can wander round the very historic build. With over 500 years of royal history, Hampton Court Palace has something to offer visitors, from the magnificent State Apartments to the domestic reality of the Tudor Kitchens. Costumed guides and audio tours bring the palace to life and provide an insight into how life in the palace would have been in the time of Henry VIII and William III. The Palace also has a programme of special events throughout the year. Or get lost in The Maze, probably the most famous hedge maze in the world. It was planted as part of the gardens laid out for William of Orange between 1689 and 1695 by George London and Henry Wise. Once ready (and you have found your way out) you can then rejoin the vessel for drinks and snacks and put our feet up for a cruise back down to St Katherine's Pier - taking in the whole river at your own leisure. Once at St Katherine's Pier you can stretch your legs whilst our onboard chef will cook dinner ready for when you return - and with a few bottles of wine - should make for a great end to your experience and journey through London. Once ready, down for bed and ready to be dropped off Saturday morning at O2 arena for 9:00.
